So I've been doing the open mic thing for 8 years now, and it's amazing to me how little I've actually engaged in actual music dork conversation with anyone I've met in this period. As horridly awkward as my late 90's/early 00's years were, I really miss how I could freely do that in AOL chat rooms, message boards, and among people in our old amateur album review site community. Why is it so hard for me to do now? I'm thinking this needs to change. I guess it's easier to be overwhelmed by how everyone sems a lot more normally social, how they have a lot more varied interests and substantial careers than I do, and how the bar/restaurant environment is exactly where I want to avoid people. Bad end of my mind, please shut up. Thanks.

This early June 2013 segment of my recorder project might turn into a mini audio documentary about Domonic Brown's ridiculous streak and everyone on sports radio freaking out over it. Recording audio of the 7th inning tonight and adding my Dan The Serious Businessman commentary to it is bringing the Phillies good luck at least.

You'd think The Procrastinators would be a band name that's taken already, but apparently not according to Rate Your Music. I'm guessing a lot of musicians meant to start a band with that name but put it off.
